MAESTRO 2020

MAESTRO 2020 is a Business Challenge Competition, organised for the 3rd consecutive year by Rotaract Club of University of Moratuwa. In cooperation with an external knowledge partner, we offer participants a worthwhile opportunity to address an issue faced by a real-world business entity and devise viable solutions to that issue. So MAESTRO 2020 is your chance to explore the entrepreneur in you, and be challenged by a panel of industry leading professionals.

Why MAESTRO?

      • A platform to showcase the entrepreneurial skills of the Sri Lankan youth.
      • Expose young minds to the real-life business environment.
      • A place where the youth can share their entrepreneurial insights with industry specialists.
      • An opportunity for business entities to recognise promising young talent.

Guidelines

      • A team should consist of either three or four eligible members.
      • Late submissions are not acceptable and will be disqualified.
      • Contestants are highly recommended to participate in the webinars.
      • Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.

MAESTRO 2020 comprises of three phases ;

First Phase - Contestants need to upload their solutions for the case through our web portal before the deadline.

Second Phase - 15 teams selected through evaluations of  the submitted reports, will compete in the semifinal round.

Third Phase - Five teams chosen by the panel of judges based on the performance during the Q & A session, evaluation of the report and the presentation will compete in the grand finale.

MAESTRO 2020 is open to,

  • Undergraduates of state and private universities.
  • Students of other educational institutes.
  • Members of Rotaract clubs in Sri Lanka.

  • In the first phase, the solutions should be submitted as presentations in PDF format.
  • On the grand finale, the solutions should be presented with slide decks.

A team should consist of either 3 or 4 eligible members.

The members need not necessarily represent the same university, educational institute or Rotaract club.

Only one person from each team needs to register the team through our Registration Portal
